Orchard & Spicy Herb/Vegetable Garden
Orchard
We have planted our orchard with Pristine, Liberty, and Goldrush apples, Harrow Sweet and Noble Russet Bosc pears, and Shiro and Stanley plums. It take a few seasons before we have a yield. Fruit will be available from the farm or at the Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Conservancy Farmers Market in Peninsula.
Spicy Herb/Vegetable Garden
We are currently working on our garden and will be growing spices, herbs, and Asian vegetables: Chilies, Mint, Garlic, Snow Peas, Shallots, Cumin, Pepper, Parsley, Mustard, Greek Oregano, Paprika, Rosemary, Parsley, Sage, Lemon Thyme, Dill, Fennel, Basil – Globe and Thai, Cilantro, Marjoram, Loveage, Mustard Spinach, Daikon Radish, Asparagus (Yard Long) Bean, Red or Green Mustard (Mizuna), Bitter Melon, Japanese Green, Edible Luffa Gourd, etc.
Pumpkin Patch
We will be planting a pick-your-own-pumpkin patch with Phat Jack pumpkins, Small Sugar, Casper, and Cinderella's Carriage. Visit the farm this fall to pick-your-own pumpkin and take a hay wagon ride.
Wildflowers
We will also be growing wildflowers for bouquets, wreaths, and seed.
Pavilion
We have plans for a pavilion where we will have host educational programming, culinary dinners, and other special events.
